Show Your Love of Books ~The Bookcase

by Gwen

Still waiting on my Kindle and the books continue to float through my door in paper form. That means that I am shopping for bookcases this week.

Stacked Cabinet No.1

Stacked Cabinet No.1, from Artful Home, $3,885

I love “odd” pieces of furniture and this one I LOVE, but this is a bit out of my price range.

Monticello Library Stand

Monticello Library Stand, from The Thomas Jefferson Monticello Collection, $333

Much more affordable and supports history.

Canoe Bookcase

82” Canoe Bookcase, by Millsriver Canoe Shop, $745

I have always wanted one of these, but it really doesn’t fit my decor.

Tuscan Center Bookcase, Ballard Designs, $799

This actually matches the rest of the furniture in the room, but matchy-matchy is so boring!

Still deciding,

Friends and tweeps have made some great suggestions for what to include in this weeks post. Thank them!

Monica, from Monica Wants It, Hooked me up with this Kate Spade beauty.

The Great Gatsby Clutch can be yours for $325. They also have a Great Expectations clutch.  I can totally see myself using one of those. Might even break my “I hate purses rule” for Gatsby.

For Book Lovers Only Parking Sign, Amazon, $12.95

Wonderful Wizard of Oz Print, 24×36" – 61x91cm, by

I Read Banned Books Necklace, by Carolyn Forsman Conversation Piece Jewelry, $30

If you have any great sources for bookish accessories please be sure to let me know. Also, anyone want to split that Kate Spade bag with me? You get it 6 months, I get it the other 6 months??

Showing My Love of Books

by Gwen

This weekend, we are packing up the truck and talking our dog on his first road trip. That means that my handmade finds have to be either portable, wearable, or kill-time-because-I-hate-road-trips-able.

Scattergram Zine, by Welsh Rabbit, $2

(No, I am not taking the stacks with me..this is a zine about Library School.)

Read Books Not T-shirts Shirt, by Aperture Agog, $20

Spalted Maple Necklace Pen, by Moon Sky Woodworks, $50

Word Owl Field Bag, by Rainbow Swirlz, $20

That is it for the bookish shopping for this week. Catch you when we get back and cross your fingers that the dog doesn’t get car sick.

Show Your Love of Books

by Gwen

Better late than never….This week I wanted to focus on bookends. I have a love of bookends, but usually I have so many books that they are superfluous. Not any more, I have donated to the bone and it is time for some snazzy jobbies to hold up the precious books that I have left!

Arched Bookends, by Jeff Fetty Designs, $296

Salvaged Red Oak Bookends, by Salvaged Soul Studios, $75
