A Bit of Me(Me) – Movies

1stDaughter at There’s A Book, has started a new meme so that we all get to know each other better. She can tell the story behind it better than I can.

We all leave our “footprint” on the world, in one way or another. We each, individually, do something or are someone that makes the world a little better just by being here. I created this weekly meme to get to know the blogging community I love just a bit better. To know what makes them tick, outside of books, that is. Each week I will post a question to be answered in the following week’s “A Bit of Me(Me)”. Check back each Saturday to get the info for next week’s post and link up with your current post right here.

This is my take. The little things say a lot about you, almost as much as the books you read. This meme is a way to see a bit of the person behind the book.

Up this week is Movies…….

My favorite movie is Kings Row, which was released in 1942 and stars Robert Cummings, Ronald Reagan, and Ann Sheridan.

I am a sucker for old movies, but it is hard to put my finger on why this one id my favorite. I think that a lot of it has to do with growing up with President Reagan and by the time I saw this, his health had declined so much. In Kings Row, my hero is young again and shows so much promise.

All the Kings Men would be my second favorite.

Next Week’s Question: Are you an animal person? Any type in particular?

Go check out everyone’s favorite movies at There’s A Book!

  1. I LOVE old movies! Before the kiddos came my hubby and I actually rented dozens of the “classics” we’d never seen. It was fabulous! It was also pretty funny to see all the quotes that came out of movies like Casablanca. Unfortunately we didn’t see this one, although now we will definitely have to. I love All the Kings Men! Great choices! Thanks for joining in!

  3. I’ve been meaning to watch some of these older movies. Some of them were on black and white television when I was younger, and I used to like watching them on Saturday afternoons.

I love movies! I obsess over them. And here’s my pick:

  5. Odd that both of your favorite movies have the word Kings in them. We should get someone to tell us what that means!
