My Good News:

I went sort of nuts at the library this week only to come home to about 6 boxes of books for review on my doorstep. It was like Christmas! Even better, they kept coming all week. My TBR stack is now two overflowing stacks.

  • You have a fascinating line up for this week. I thought The Lunatic, the Lover, and the Poet and House Rules were good reads. Nujood sounds like something I want to read.

  • Why, I'm reading *your* blog…of course! So when you have time, could you shed a little light on audio books for us/me? I'm really interested in using this medium, as we are in the car a minimum of 5 hrs a week for lessons. I want to use that time for something better than cranking Vanilla Ice Tunes(Please forgive me Vanilla. Ice? Ice?…Baby??? Sorry! Lovers quarrel, ya know how that is.) Anyway, what is the best, cheapest, most variety offering (think rich, children's literature…Wait, do I insert a comma? Am I talking about rich kids here? Or literature that is rich?)simplest to keep up with (ie not a lot of fragile CDs)…I'm sorry this sentence has run on so long I'm lost…are you following me? Hope not. That would make two of us.

  • I enjoyed Beautiful Creatures. I'll be looking forward to review of that one. I need to start working on Thumbing Through Thoreau also. Love in the Time of Cholera was work for me. I'll be curious what you think of it as well.
